Wind Down Wednesday, July 17, a “Culture Carnival”

Albert Lea’s Wind Down Wednesday, July 17, is all about culture, from food to music to dancing and art. The July event is celebrating the heritage in Albert Lea and bringing a cultural experience to life.
Festivities will include a Tex-Mex/Conjuno band, Karen dancers and singers, the Freeborn County historical museum, and local baked goods, farmer’s market, restaurants, boutiques, crafters, artists and music.
In addition to food and shopping, a number of free kids’ activities that are culturally-themed will be present, such as bean bag toss, a bounce house, drawing and painting, sidewalk chalk, and more.
Wind Down Wednesday will run from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., downtown Albert Lea, based at 102 W. Clark St. It will include great food, shopping, socializing, and games to support the region. Don’t forget to check out local north Iowa vendors.
