Wind Down Wednesday—An ‘inclusive” event, June 19
Albert Lea’s Wind Down Wednesday, June 19, is all about inclusivity, and that includes you. The June event is striving to include everyone in the fun, which features activities, games, baked goods, farmer’s market, local restaurants, boutiques, crafters, artists, music, and more.
In addition to events for kids, teens, and adults of all ages, Wind Down Wednesday would like to honor those with physical and mental disabilities through the theme “Inclusives.” The goal is to provide an environment that is supportive, creative, entertaining, and enjoyable for everyone.
Wind Down Wednesday will run from 11 a.m.–8 p.m., downtown Albert Lea, based at 102 W. Clark St. It will include great food, shopping, socializing, and games to support the region. Don’t forget to check out local North Iowa vendors.
The band “Easy Heart” is scheduled for lunch time (noon-1 p.m.); the AC Jazz choir (1:30-2 p.m.); the Meraki Dancers during the afternoon, including their Jazz 7/8, Ballet Pirates, Combo and Meraki Inclusive Camp “The Incredibles” groups (5-5:30 p.m.); and headliner “The Only,” in the evening (6-8 p.m.).
