Beau Thompson, 5, bagged his first deer (a spike buck) Saturday, Oct. 2,  in Worth County. Beau attends Kindergarten at LMCS and is pictured with his dad, Jake Thompson, who is a volunteer firefighter and Lake Mills police officer.
On Tuesday, Oct. 5, the Mohawk Girls Swim Team hosted the Fort Dodge Dodgers. The Mohawks outscored the Dodgers, 64-34. Lake Mills’ Kate Edgerton swam the 50 free individual, finishing second with a person best time of 26.86.
The cross country team was able to compete on their home turf at the Rice Lake Golf and Country Club for the first time this season last Monday, Oct. 4. Head Coach Whitney Spies noted that the team was “excited” to run in their home meet.
