Of the two Lake Mills selections, Head Coach Kyle Menke had the following comments.
“Chett is a versatile scorer who made excellent improvement over the past year. He has the ability to create his own shot, which was a valuable asset to our team this season. Chett has tremendous potential as a player, and I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish during the off-season.”
Helming averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game on the season, and led the Bulldogs in points, rebounds, steals and blocked shots.
Joining Helming on the All-TIC team, Freshman Caleb Bacon averaged 6.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while leading the Bulldogs in field goal percentage and offensive rebounds.
“Caleb had an outstanding freshman season. He is already one of the best offensive rebounders I’ve ever coached,”said Menke. “Caleb is strong, physical, and relentless when attacking the basket. He has a chance to be a special player if he can improve in a couple specific areas.”
