Severson and Linnen help Hawks roll to title
The Top of Iowa Conference Hawks dominated their way to The Mother’s Day Shootout Championship, Saturday, May 12, at NIACC. Balanced scoring and great defense led the way for some big wins. In the opening game the Hawks led from the tip leading 28-9 at the half and cruised to the win 47-20 over Team Boom. In the semis the Hawks faced team Ambush. After a slow start the Hawks rolled to an easy win 48-25 to move into the championship.
In the championship, the Hawks faced The North Iowa Nets. A close game throughout the first half, the Hawks used a 15-2 run to end half and to put the game away with a 51-32 victory and the Championship.
