Harriers ready for conference test

In their final tune up prior to the TIC conference meet, to be held Thursday at North Iowa Community College, Coach Jamie Haugen was pleased with how her team is performing at this point in the season.
In what Haugen noted was the coldest night of the year for running, Abbey Bray once again paced the girls with a 19th place finish, but Haugen had praise for the entire team.
“Dani Brue turned in her best time of the season, along with Madison Holtan,” she observed. Also improving their time was Faith Christenson, who Haugen noted, “had an outstanding run with her best time of the year.”
For the boys, with Carson Rygh once again leading the way with his second place finish, Haugen complimented, “This was really a great night as far as times go for Parker Rogstad and Ashten Love; they both continue to drop time each meet.” Love finished 25th and Rogstad 42nd, as the entire team posted sub 20 minute times.
The girls field featured 78 total runners, while the boys had a total of 113 runners.
Haugen said the conference meet will be the last showing for the middle school team, as they “continue to do well and improve their times each meet.”
