Better late than never
Much like their track counterparts, the LMCS boys and girls golf teams had much of the first month of the season wiped out due to weather and course conditions, and now—one week before conference play—are finally hitting the links.
Traveling to New Hampton last week, the girls found themselves on the short end of a 168-224 score, but saw five girls (Claire Grothe-48, Ale Groe-57, Audrey Casperson-58 and Hannah Hanson and Hannah Evenson-61) finish in the top 10 on the night.

After having their first seven meets cancelled or postponed, the boys traveled to Jewell last Thursday for their first meet of the season.
“Being their first round of golf this year, while the other two teams had already played meets,” did not make for a fun evening for the boys, who struggled and finished third. “The strong west winds did not help,” Coach Lyle Thomson added.
