Master Matrix Questions

Dear Editor,
In the beginning was the Matrix
And then came the Citizens
And the Citizens were without form
And the Matrix was completely without substance.
And the darkness was upon the face of the City Council
And they spoke among themselves, saying
“It is a crock of ****, and it stinketh.”
And the Council went unto their Supervisors and sayeth,
“It is a pile of dung and none may abide the odor thereof.”
And the Supervisors went unto the DNR and sayeth unto them
“It is a container of excrement and it is very strong; such that none may abide by it.”
And the DNR went unto their Representatives and sayeth
“It is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide its strength.”
And the Representatives spoke amongst themselves, saying to one another,
“It contains that which aids plant growth, and it is very strong.”
And the Representatives went unto the Senators and sayeth unto them,
“It promotes growth and is very powerful.”
And the Senators went unto the Governor and sayeth unto him,
“This new plan will actively promote the growth and efficiency of this State; and in the pockets of the pork producers in particular.”
And the Governor looked upon the Matrix
And saw that it was good,
and The Matrix became policy.
This is how **** happens.
