Violet M. Sorenson Patterson Bailey

Violet M. (Patterson) Bailey (nee Sorenson), 81, Chicago, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024. A visitation will be held today (Wednesday), Sept. 4, from 4-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, Oak Lawn, Ill. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Vioet was the beloved wife of James W. Bailey since 1984, and former wife of the late Reverend Robert E. Patterson. She was the loving mother of Rachel (Tony) Johnston, Stephen (Annette Martinez) Patterson, and James R. (David Lezondra) Bailey; cherished grandmother of Abigail, Eleanor, Jacob, Luke, Catherine and the late Elizabeth; dear sister-in-law, Mary Sorenson, Lake Mills, and Karen Cook, Normal, Ill.
Violet is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Frieda Sorenson; brother, Paul Sorenson; sister-in-law, Jean Bregi; and brother-in-law, Fred Patterson.
