Patrice M. Preul

Patrice M. Calgaard Preul, 61, Glenwood, passed away Monday, March 28, 2106. A funeral service was held Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m., at King of Kings Lutheran Church, Omaha, Neb. Graveside services followed at Evergreen Memorial Park, Omaha, Neb. HeafeyHoffmann Dworak Cutler, Omaha, Neb., was in charge of arrangements.
Patric was born April 29, 1954 in Mason City and was raised on a farm near Joice. Growing up, she enjoyed 4-H and cultivated her life-long hobby of reading. Going to visit grandparents, great-aunt Minnie, and cousins was always a highlight. Pat had her hans full “looking out” for her younger siblings, Mike and Linda. She graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1972, then Des Moines Area Community College in 1974.
In 1981, Pat welcomed daughter, Erin, and in 1984, son, Ryan. On June 3, 2002, Pat and Randy wed at King of Kings Lutheran Church, Omaha, Neb, and Jason and Breann were also welcomed into Pat’s heart.
She created wonderful memories for her family through vacations and family gatherings. You could always count on her to be willing to talk and provide love and comfort, no matter what was going on in her life. Camping and traveling to warmer places and to see friends and family were two of Pat and Randy’s favorite activities to do together.
In later years, grandchildren, Addyson, Gabriel, Jayden and Beckett were the biggest source of joy in Pat’s heart. They adored her and loved camping and playing with her.
Patrice is survived by her husband, Randy Preul, Glenwood; children: Erin Woracek (Joe), Plattsmouth, Neb.; Ryan Muldoon, Jason Preul (fiancée, Shanna Hammersland), and Breann Browning (Christian), all of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren: Addyson Browning, Jayden Browning, Gabriel Woracek and Beckett Woracek, Nader and Danah; brother, Michael Calgaard, Omaha, Neb.; sister, Linda Worrell (Stephen), Lake Wylie, S.C.; and mother, Mary Jane Calgaard, Lake Mills.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Calgaard.
