Maryann S. Gould

Maryann S. Gould, 79, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her home in Lake Mills. Funeral were held Wednesday, April 14, at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, rural Joice, with Pastor Kevin Olson officiating. Burial was held in Bethel Lutheran Brethren Cemetery.
Maryann Sandra (Reiter) Gould was born Sept. 26, 1941 in Shakopee, Minn., to parents Joseph and Zama Reiter. She had one older sister, Mardee, and a younger brother, John. Maryann graduated from Hopkins Senior High in June of 1959. After a short vacation to California, she went to work at a supper club in St. Louis Park, Minn. She met her husband Dennis P. Gould and they were married Aug. 31, 1963.
In 1992, the couple moved to Iowa, where Dennis delivered motor homes, and Maryann would ride with. She loved to crochet and knit blankets to give away. Other hobbies were plastic canvas, making cards and baking . . . all of which she’d give away too.
She enjoyed her talks with Pastor Kevin Olson and her entire church family.
Survivors include her son Rome (Rachael) Gould, Hanlontown; two grandchildren: Breanna and Joey; and a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh. Maryann also adopted Lynn Kleveland as a daughter. Other survivors include four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; cousins and other relatives.
Maryann was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Zama; husband, Dennis in 2009; her sister, Mardee Gibbons; and her brother, John Reiter.
