Marvin D. Rinden
Marvin D. Rinden, 86, Joice, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Lake Mills Care Center.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 15, at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, rural Joice, with Pastor Kevin Olson officiating. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Sunday, April 14, at Mittelstadt Funeral Home, Lake Mills, and again one hour prior to the service at the church. Military rites will be performed by Lake Mills Otto/Chose American Legion Post #235. Burial will be at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Cemetery, rural Joice.
Marvin Dale Rinden was born June 30, 1932 to Thor Tellof and Oline Marie (Lien) Rinden. He farmed all of his life in the Joice area until he was forced to retire at the age of 80 due to medical reasons.
Marvin served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He married Delores Ruby on March 20, 1955 and to this union three daughters were born.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Delores Rinden; his children: Susan (Jeff) Stauffer, Patty Rinden, and Lori Hugo; six grandchildren: Jack (Kate) Stauffer, Jenna Stauffer, John Stauffer, Emily Swope, Megan Swope, and David Hugo; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and all of his brothers and sisters: Gudron (Art) Furness, Oscar (Iva) Rinden, Ted (Maxine) Rinden, Helga (Ingwald) Anderson, Thelma (Everett) Trustem, Art (Lois) Rinden, and Viola (Happ) Ausenhus.
