Lillian “June” Weaver

Lillian “June” Weaver, 89, Lake Mills, passed away Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Thompson, with Pastor Judy Wozniak officiating.Inurnment was held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to June’s family. Mittelstadt Funeral Home, Lake Mills, was in charge of arrangements.
Lillian June Kitner Weaver was born June 5, 1928 in King Township, Winnebago County, to parents Samuel and Mary Willert Kitner. She was baptized at Bethany Lutheran Church, Thompson, and graduated from Fertile High School in 1947.
June was united in marriage with Herman Weaver, April 29, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minn. The couple made their home in Lake Mills, where June worked for Deluxe Products/Fleetguard Industries.
She enjoyed traveling with Herman, taking camping trips across the country, and eventually wintering in Chimney Park, Texas. June collected knick-knacks, spent time doing word puzzles, and liked to do crafting and crocheting.
Survivors include her two grandchildren: Carol Weaver, Lake Mills; and Terry (Jeni) Weaver, Des Moines; two great-grandsons: Aaron Weaver and Cade Weaver; sisters- and brothers-in law: Emilyn Kitner, Clear Lake; Cecil (Paula) Weaver, Mason City; and Lois (Leonard) Harms, Forest City; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman; son, Vernon Weaver; three brothers: Bob Kitner, John Kitner, Clarence (Opal) Kitner and Leslie Kitner (her twin in infancy); a sister, Florence Graff; and brothers- and sisters-in-law: Bonnie and Denny Hoeft; Allen Weaver; June Weaver; Max Graff; and Denny and Doris Weaver.
