Leslie Scott Anderson

Leslie Scott Anderson, 64, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center, Mason City, with his family close by his side. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., today (Friday), Sept. 15, at Synod Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, with Rev. David Emmons officiating. Inurnment will be in the Salem Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Leslie was born Nov. 29, 1952 in Albert Lea, Minn., to Lester and Pearl (Enderson) Anderson. Leslie was baptized on Palm Sunday 64 years ago, and confirmed at the Synod Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, in 1967. He attended Lake Mills Community schools, later working for Larson Manufacturing and Deluxe Products, Lake Mills, Winnebago Industries, Forest City, and finally for Russ Hardy, Mason City.
He loved to tell stories and joke with his family and friends. He collected all sorts of things, loved flowers, antiques and beautiful things, but above all he loved God, his family and close friends.
Les is survived by his seven siblings: Judy Anderson, Albert Lea, Minn.; Sharon (Ray) Smith, Blaine, Minn.; Steven (Leanna) Anderson, Lake Mills; Cindy (Kerm) Balvance, Forest City; Kathy (Jim) Thompson, Lake Mills; Peggy (J.B.) Hamersly, Glennville, Minn.; and Craig Anderson, Lake Mills; nieces, grand-nieces, nephews, and grand-nephews: Stephanie (Kevin) Starcevich, Tyler, Nick and Eva, Blaine, Minn.;, Shelly (Mark) Dubay, Alisha and Logan, Rogers, Minn.; Matt (Teresa) Anderson, Evie and Evan, Brooklyn Center, Minn.; Brad Thompson, Paige, Kylee, Ella and Ethan, Lake Mills; James Hamersly, Emily (Jesse) Boren, Ayden and Ethan, all of Albert Lea, Minn.; Corey (Erica) Anderson, Cedar Falls; step-nephews: Derick (Shannon) Aukes, and Bryce (Jess) Aukes, Bennet and Briley, all of Forest City; two aunts: Betty Nappe and Jenine Enderson; many cousins; and close friends, Harris and LeAnn Honsey, Lake Mills. He also leaves his many friends and caregivers at Good Samaritan Center, Forest City, where he has made his home these last seven years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Pearl Anderson; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and one cousin.
