Leila Kanetta Kloster, 100, of Lake Mills, IA, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Lake Mills, Care Center in Lake Mills, IA.
 
Funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Salem Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, IA, with Pastor Melinda McCluskey officiating.
 
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM (service time) at Salem Lutheran Church on Thursday.
 
Burial will take place at Salem Memorial Cemetery, Lake Mills, IA.
 
Leila Kanetta (Hermanson) Kloster was born on May 22, 1915, near Lake Mills, to parents Ole and Juli Anne (Ingebritson) Hermanson.  She was baptized and confirmed at Winnebago Lutheran Church.  Leila was married to Olaf Kloster on October 15, 1938.
 
Throughout the years, Leila was employed by the Winnebago County Home for 23 years, as well as being a homemaker.  She enjoyed being a member of different church circles and was known by her family and friends as being the “Butterfly Lady” because of her extensive collection of butterflies.
 
She is lovingly survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lowell and Lois Kloster of Algona, IA; three grandchildren Kevin (Tracey) Kloster of Pipe Creek, TX, Tonia McGruder of Spencer, IA, and Erik (Melinda) Kloster of Moore, OK; five great grandchildren, Kristina (Bo) Sports, Allie McGruder, and Leaha McGruder all of Spencer, IA, and Conner, Thorsan and Zandra Kloster all of Moore, OK; and three great-great grandchildren, Ashton, Gracey, and Jocelyn Sports.  Leila is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
Leila was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Cora, Ella, Evelyn, Alice, Hilma and Ruth; and two brothers, James and Richard.
