Larry James Slette

Larry James Slette, 57, Walters, Minn., passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 at his home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at  11 a.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home, Wells, Minn., with Rev. Donald Rose officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be at the Walters Cemetery at a later date. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family.  
Larry was born May 4, 1959, in Albert Lea, Minn., the son of Orville and Irene (Ausen) Slette.  Larry attended Kiester High School and graduated with the class of 1977.  
After high school, he went to school and studied communications and he had worked for the railroad.  Most recently, he worked at Lake Mills Cummins factory for about 30 years.  He liked completing crossword puzzles and spending time with his family.
Larry is survived by his mother, Irene Slette, Walters, Minn.; siblings: Sandra (Orlin) Goemann, Plymouth, Minn.; Shirley Sandt, Wells, Minn.; Diane (Tim) Fiebelkorn, Kiester, Minn.; Darell Slette, Walters, Minn.; and Janet (Ron) Fiedler, Walters, Minn.; uncle, Ronald Ausen, Lake Mills; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
He is preceded in death by his father, Orville; and brother, Loren Slette.
