Irene J. Salveson, 78, Watertown, Minn., passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016. A memorial service was held Friday, May 6, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Montrose, Minn. Iten Funeral Home, Delano, Minn., was in charge of arrangements.
Irene was born June 22, 1937 in Lake Mills, to Isaac and Mary (O’Rourke) Jackson. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Crawford Lake, Minn. She was a great mother; loved her family, music and baking.
Irene is survived by her children: Janice (John) Monahan, David Salveson, and Richard (Maria) Salveson; 10 grandchildren: Jeremy Monahan, Jacob (Cassie) Salveson, Julie Monahan (special friend, Justin Bren), Angela (Joe) Rask, Bradley (Traci) Salveson, Jordan Salveson, Ryan Salveson (special friend, Brooke Williams), Corey Salveson (special friend, Madison Day), Christopher Salveson, and Kevin Salveson; six great-grandchildren: Jayce, Connor, Jayden, Aubree, Rose, and Paisley; and sister, Gilma Richter.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton; son, Michael; parents; and brother, Robert Jackson.
