Dorothy Pauline Greiman

Dorothy Pauline Greiman, 93, Kirksville, Mo., passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Twin Pines Adult Care Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Kirksville, Mo., with Pastor David Lukefahr officiating. Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Milan, Mo. Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home, Milan, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy was born May 30, 1924, in Kanawha, the daughter of Oscar and Lula (Holck) Hartwig.
She married Walter Greiman, June 28, 1944, in Garner.
In addition to raising three children and being an active farm wife, Dorothy had many interests and achievements while living in Lake Mills. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. She was the bookkeeper for Milady’s (a local clothing store), and organized the Red Cross Bloodmobile for many years.
In 1976, Walt and Dorothy purchased a farm in Milan, Mo. They were members of Peace Lutheran Church, where they served on the building committee for the current structure. Dorothy was also very active in Peace Lutheran Ladies Club, and competed in league bowling. For several years, Dorothy was the bookkeeper for High Hope Services.
She is survived by her children: Stephen Greiman and his wife, Rosalie, Lake Mills; Kathy Helgeson and her husband, Robert, La Quinta, Calif.; and Jane Schaper and her husband, Ronald, Kirksville, Mo.; brother, Charlie Hartwig and his wife, Pat, Kanawha; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.
