Clair A. Loken
Clair A. Loken, 79, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Private funeral services for Clair will be held at a later date, with Kermit Singelstad officiating. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Emmons, Minn.

Clair Adrian Loken was born on the family farm Oct. 26, 1940 in Emmons, Minn. to parents Lewis and Alice (Johnson) Loken. He attended Country School #105, walking across their field to get to school. He was baptized, confirmed, and was a lifetime member of Emmons Lutheran Church. He graduated from Emmons High School in 1958.
Clair farmed his entire life. Growing crops and caring for livestock was what Clair enjoyed doing. When he could, he would get away from the farm and attend local auctions around the area, always looking for a bargain.
Surviving members of his family include his brother, Charles Loken, Walters, Minn.; sister, Phyllis (Maynard) Erickson, Emmons, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Anne (Craig) Blouin, Ellendale, Minn.; Marcus (Tracy) Erickson, Emmons, Minn.; Perry (Lisa) Erickson, Emmons, Minn.; and Angela (Jessup) DeCook, Byron, Minn.; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by both parents, Lewis and Alice Loken; sister, Dorothy (Lawrence) Scott; and a nephew, Brian Scott.
