It’s rare for a young actress to get the chance to play an iconic role like Emily Webb in Thornton Wilder’s Our Town. Lauren Maddox, who moved to Forest City last fall, enjoyed that opportunity when attending high school in Tennessee.
This spring, three Lake Mills FFA members earned the Iowa FFA degree. The Iowa FFA degree is the highest rank that can be achieved by active members. These students have received their degrees from the State Committee.
The Hanson Nature Center, located two miles north of Leland, is now open for public viewing and will allow visitors to learn about the natural lands and species of Winnebago County.
