Winnebago Co. Extension welcomes new staff members

The Winnebago County Extension Council is pleased to announce the addition of Katie Fell, the new County Youth Coordinator, and Linda Severson, the new Office Assistant at the Winnebago County ISU Extension and Outreach office in Thompson.
Fell, a resident of Scarville, began her duties as the Winnebago County Youth Coordinator on Oct. 21, and Severson, a resident of Forest City, began her duties as the Winnebago County Office Assistant on Oct. 3.
“We are excited to have Katie and Linda join the staff in the Winnebago County Extension Office. Katie has experience working in a business setting, client services and planning. She is a very creative and energetic individual who will bring excitement and new program ideas to our 4-H Youth Development Program as we continue to increase our outreach to the youth of Winnebago County.” commented Bryan Whaley, Regional Extension Education Director.
As the County Youth Coordinator, Fell will be responsible for county coordination of ISU Extension and Outreach youth programs. She will work with our countywide 4-H Clubs, Volunteer Management, Clover Kids, After-school and summer programs.
As Office Assistant, Severson will be responsible for a variety of office duties such as bookkeeping, answering questions that come in, and helping with pesticide courses.
The Winnebago County Extension Office, located at 183 First Ave. N., Thompson, encourages the public to stop by, welcome Katie and Linda, and feel free to call the office regarding questions on the 4-H Youth Development Programs available through Iowa State University Extension in Winnebago County.
