WCTA annual meeting held Sept. 21

A large crowd was on hand last Thursday evening for the  annual meeting to hear reports on Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association operations.
“I was extremely impressed by the crowd turnout this evening despite the heat. It’s always great to get a chance to visit with our cooperative members.” stated General Manager Mark Thoma.
Curt Helland, Emmons, Minn., and Jerry Ouverson, Fertile, were re-elected to the WCTA Board (pictured below). Other WCTA Board members are: Larry Foley, Kensett; Mark R Johnson, Leland; Dale Meinders, Buffalo Center; Mike Stensrud, Lake Mills; and Stephen Thorland, Thompson.
The directors held an organizational meeting at which time officers of the Board were elected. Officers are: Mark R. Johnson, president; Stephen Thorland, vice president; Mike Stensrud, treasurer.
Following the meeting, the audience was entertained by “Shy of a Dozen,” an all-male a cappella group from Iowa State University.
WCTA grand attendance prizewinners—Barbara McDonald (top right), and Roger Osheim (middle right), both of Emmons, Minn.; and Jack Koenen (bottom right), Forest City—were awarded 43” TVs. Helen Larson, Albert Lea, Minn., was the winner of the 43” TV mail ballot prize.
