TenHaken winner in photo contest

Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) recently announced the winners of the 10th Annual "Capture the Heart of America Photo Contest."
Carsyn TenHaken, Joice, won first place for her photo, “Patiently Waiting,” in the “Celebrations of Iowa Agriculture,” category. TenHaken is a senior at Lake Mills Community School.
"Best of Show" was awarded to Justin Rogers, Ankeny, for his photo, "Harvest Sunset" in the "Life on the Iowan Farm" category. The photo was chosen by the public in an online voting campaign, Nov. 28- Dec. 1.
Awards were also given to the top photos in each of six categories, voted on by panel of judges. Category winners include:
