Relay for Life held June 22

The Winnebago County Relay for Life annual event was held Saturday, June 22, in Forest City. Most of the funds raised in the state, provide funding for the Cancer Research Center in Iowa, at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, as well as the Hope Lodge, which houses cancer patients who are in Iowa City for treatment, as well as their families. Funds also stay in our communities of North Iowa. The American Cancer Society helps arrange rides for patients to receive medical treament and provides informational resources materials.
