Prof. Faugstad hosts first Bethany Lutheran College Honor Band
Former Lake Mills band director, Benjamin Faugstad, hosted the first ever Bethany Lutheran College Honor Band in Mankato, Minn., Nov. 16-17. Lake Mills was well represented with seven students participating in this awesome event. The BLC Honor Band Festival included several rehearsals, an amazing performance of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by the BLC Theater department, a jazz combo performance, sectionals, and a final performance in the beautiful Trinity Chapel. The students participating in the event were Libby Heagel (baritone saxophone), Ella Rogstad (Tuba), Sierra Bergo (Clarinet), Trace Gau (Euphonium), Autumn Kopp (Clarinet), Madison Kopp (Percussion), and Aaron Mathahs (alto saxophone). Lake Mills Band Director Nate Sletten also helped with rehearsals and led a clarinet/oboe sectional during the event.
