Last week, much of the Midwest was covered in a polar vortex. Record-breaking temperatures and brutal windchills closed schools, businesses, and even the U.S. Postal Service did not deliver mail last Wednesday. Temperatures dipped to -30°F with windchills as low as -65°F, keeping almost everyone indoors for a few days. The weather bounced back Saturday and Sunday, with temperatures reaching the low 40s.
