The above are just a few (albeit bad) examples of ideas for slogans the Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation (LMCDC) would like to see from the public for the 2019 Sesquicentennial of the founding of Lake Mills, which will formally kick off at the 2018 July Jubilee, July 13-15.
Cassie Johnson, Executive Director of LMCDC, said since the weekend and the Sesquicentennial are celebrating all things Lake Mills, what better way to involve the citizens than to provide the opportunity for their creative spirit to flow.
All entries will be judged for creativeness, how they relate to the history of the community and will be incorporated into the Sesquicentennial edition of the July Jubilee celebration. The phrase, or slogan may also beincorporated into a logo or artwork and merchandise to help mark the milestone event.
Entries will be accepted through the end of June, and the winner is slated to be announced during July Jubilee weekend, and will receive a prize package put together by the LMCDC.
