Mini reunion held at 90th birthday party

The Class of 1945 recently held a mini-reunion during Dean M. Holstad’s 90th birthday party. The class graduated with 40 students (18 boys, 22 girls). The three pictured above are the only surviving men from the class: Dean E. Holstad, Vincent Olson, and Dean M. Holstad. They also celebrate birthdays within a month of each other: Sept. 13, Oct. 2 and Oct. 12, 1927, respectively. The Class of 1945 graduated during WWII, after Germany had surrendered, but before Japan surrendered. Several of the male students were already in the service, as they were drafted as soon as they turned 18.
