Mayo Clinic Health System’s Hospice in Albert Lea and Austin will host a bereavement camp for children Saturday, May 21.
The camp, Helping Hearts Heal, is for children grades kindergarten through twelfth, who have experienced the death of a loved one. The activities will help participants understand their feelings and show them they are not alone in their grief.
Helping Hearts Heal activities planned so far include: fun and games, memory activities, group discussion, climbing wall, and art activities.
The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at the Brookside Education Center, 211 W. Richway Dr., Albert Lea. For more information or registration materials call the Hospice Office at 507-377-6393. Registrations are due May 7.
Because of the generosity of Kiester for a Cure and many individuals donating to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice, Helping Hearts Heal is offered free of charge.
