LMFD receives grant
Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association (WCTA) and Aureon recently presented a $500 grant to the Lake Mills Fire Department to support the funds needed for acquiring new, updated communication equipment that will be used for training purposes. In today’s fire service, more and more training involves videos, online training sites and group presentations.
WCTA supports the Lake Mills Fire Dept. by providing services free of charge throughout the year. WCTA and Aureon have collaborated to fund this charity grant program to advance rural Iowa communities for almost 26 years. WCTA has two employees, Jason Holtan and Ryan Joynt, that serve on the volunteer fire department.
