LMFD awarded charity grant
On Monday, Aug. 20, Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association (WCTA) and Aureon presented an $1,800 grant to the Lake Mills Fire Dept. to support the funds needed for a new BlowHard Electric fan should they need it to ventilate large system and nursing homes in case of a fire. WCTA supports the Lake Mills Fire Dept. by providing services free of charge throughout the year. WCTA and Aureon have collaborated to fund this charity grant program to advance rural Iowan communities for almost 25 years. WCTA has two employees (Ryan Joynt and Jason Holtan) that serve on the volunteer fire department.
