Ikes to hold chapter membership meeting, March 6

The Izaak Walton League of America will hold its chapter membership meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, at the Rice Lake Izaak Walton League building, rural Lake Mills. They will be hosting the National Izaak Walton League’s Agriculture Outreach Coordinator, Tim Wagner, Decorah.
Wagner will give a short slide presentation and talk on the federal farm bill, which is up for renewal in Congress this year. He will also update everyone on Iowa’s current efforts to reduce nutrient runoff in the state’s rivers and lakes. Both of these issues have direct bearing on Iowa’s outdoors, water quality, habitats, fish and wildlife populations, and the preservation of outdoor recreation opportunities for current and future generations.
