Ground officially broken

Winnebago County held an official groundbreaking last Saturday for the new Public Safety Center, although dirt work had started in earnest earlier in the week. The $4.6 million bond was approved by over 62 percent of county voters almost exactly one-year prior to the groundbreaking.
