Golden Heart Award presented

In early May, One Vision honored Marcia Solomonson as the most recent recipient of the organization’s Golden Heart Award. Marcia, a resident of Lake Mills, was described by those who nominated her as “kind, courteous, and funny. She is a powerful self-advocate who is not afraid to express her opinion or assert her independence. She strives for excellence in both of her jobs, and she enjoys being involved in a variety of activities, both independently and with her housemates. Those who know Marcia, say she is always looking for new activities to try.”
The Golden Heart Award is an honor presented to an individual supported by One Vision who exhibits competence, community involvement, courtesy, and courage. One Vision is a nonprofit organization that provides services to more than 550 individuals in more than 30 North Iowa communities. Marcia is pictured above with her family and friends.
