Free throw contest results

The Lake Mills boys’ basketball program held its 20th annual youth free throw contest Saturday, Nov. 9. Third and fourth graders shot from 12 feet, while fifth and sixth graders shot from the standard distance of 15 feet. Results are as follows—Fifth/six grade division: Hayden Thompson (26 of 40 shots made), first place; Lucas Helgeland, second place; Sam Grothe, third place; and Zach Stene, fourth place. Third/fourth grade division: Braylon Hanson (23 of 40 shots made), first place; Lane Helgeland, fourth place; Asher Reese, second place; and Logan Honsey, third.
