COVID-19 update

As of 7:40 a.m., Tuesday morning, Sept. 8, Iowa has tested 673,617 individuals. Of those tested, 601,447 tested negative and 70,650 tested positive. There have been 50,362 individuals who have recovered and 1,170 deaths have been recorded in the state. Numbers by surrounding counties: Winnebago–175 positive, 89 recovered, 10 deaths; Worth–89 positive, 68 recovered; Kossuth–136 positive, 95 recovered; Hancock–164 positive, 142 recovered, two deaths; Cerro Gordo–891 positive, 627 recovered, and 20 deaths.
Iowa residents are asked to wear a face mask in public and continue to practice social distancing.
