Busses go green

Lake Mills Community School took delivery on several new leased busses last month, with those busses being their first venture into alternative fuel, as they are powered by LP, rather than diesel fuel, which has been the indistury standard for school busses for many years. In making the decision to try out the LP busses, the school board is hedging their bets to some degree, by doing a straight lease, rather than a lease to buy, as they give the drivers time to evaluate the performance of the new vehicles, and they also continue to explore new developments in LP and other new technologies before committing exclusively to something other than diesel.
