Business anniversaries recognized at annual meeting

The LMCDC Annual Meeting was held Monday evening, Jan. 15, at Rice Lake Golf and Country Club. Business anniversaries for 2018 were recognized for: The Mills Theatre, LMEI, OIC Lutheran Parish, LM Garden Club, Leading Edge Development Corp, Casey’s General Store, Mercy Family Clinic-LM, Wilkinson Tool & Die, Citizen Community Credit Union, NAPA Auto Parts, Agland Depot, Don’s Motor Mart, KIOW, Young Plumbing & Heating, Dave’s Auto Service, Black Hills Energy, Lake Mills Library and LMCS.

Business of the Year was awarded to two long-time businesses, who have moved on to new opportunities—David’s Foods (the Fjelstad family) and Main Attractions (Mike and Rosalie Helgeson).

The Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Girl Scout leader, Ona Van Heiden, who has been helping mold young girls in the community for many years.
