“Into the Woods,” by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, is a modern classic inspired by tales of The Brothers Grimm. The story follows several primary characters – The Baker, The Baker’s Wife, Cinderella, Jack (the Beanstalk), Little Red Riding Hood – as they navigate dangers found in the woods. Characters deal with conflict and enchanted conditions as they meet the demands of a cunning Witch and conquer an angry Giant.
The show is under the direction of Dan May with Travis Beck serving as musical director and Stacie LaMoore as stage manager. Performances will be July 14-17 at the Forest City High School in conjunction with Puckerbrush activities. Once production begins, rehearsals will be held Mondays through Thursdays at 7 p.m. by selected scenes.
