Austin’s annual Women’s Health Care symposium scheduled

Now’s the time for you to be the best you can be from a health standpoint. When you take time for yourself, you’re more focused on your health and wellbeing.
To keep you on the right health track, you can attend the 17th annual Women’s Health Care Symposium on Saturday, May 7, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., at the Historic Hormel Home, 208 4th Ave. N.W., Austin. Mayo Clinic Health System providers from Austin will provide health information on transforming community care, your bone health importance, understanding mental health, and community health and wellness options for you.
Presenters include:
Steve Waldhoff, Associate Administrator — Transforming community care and improving your care options
Lori Fitton, certified nurse practitioner, Orthopedics — Bone Health Clinic for improved bone health
Sheeba Rahman, M.D., Psychiatry — Understanding mental health
Sandy Anderson, Director, Mower Refreshed — Health and wellness options in Mower County.
The symposium is worth 2.1 contact hours and has been designated to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements — check with your profession to determine if this symposium meets criteria for continuing education. A light breakfast will be served.
