Arts Center unveils new gift shop

The Clear Lake Arts Center recently unveiled three very special projects—its new Gift Shop/Consignment Gallery; the 2018 holiday tree; and six limited-edition, signed and numbered, prints by Clear Lake artist, Jim Larson.
Every year the Arts Center asks their consignment artists to create one-of-a-kind, handmade ornaments to sell and display during the holiday season.
“All three of these projects are very near and dear to our hearts. Jim Larson has donated watercolor prints of six of his most popular black and white images. Proceeeds from the sale will go the the Arts Center’s Arts Alive Capital Campaign,” said Paula Hanus, executive director of the Arts Center. “Our newly remodeled Gift Shop is incredible and has been a labor of love fro many of our wonderful volunteers, and our holiday tree is quite simply, pure joy.”
The gift shop is an introduction of new artwork and product lines, including Lakrids Licorice from Denmark. The licorice was recently featured on CBS Sunday morning.
“We want people to know, that the Arts Center is not a museum, but rather, an art center. Art items are all on consignment, with over 100 local and regional artists. We have many beautiful pieces for sale,” commented Hanus.
The Clear Lake Arts Center is located at 17 S. 4th St., downtown Clear Lake. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
