Area legislators to hold meetings

Winnebago and Worth County sessions to be held in February and March
Representative Tedd Gassman, Scarville, and Senator Dennis Guth, Klemme, will hold legislative forums in Winnebago County on Friday, Feb. 10 and Friday, March 17, in the communities of Buffalo Center, Lake Mills, Forest City.
Representative Gassman, Scarville, sits on Economic Growth, Education, Environmental Protection, and Local Government Committees. He also sits on the Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee.
Senator Guth, Klemme, is the Vice-Chair of the Ethics Committee. He sits on the Appropriations, Commerce, Labor and Business Relations, and Local Government Committees. He also is the Chair of the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee.
These forums will be held to discuss current legislative issues and get feedback from constituents. Come to share your views and ask questions of your area representatives in the Iowa Legislature for the 2017 session.
Forum schedules are as follows:
Friday, Feb. 10, 2017
• 10:30–11:30 a.m. at City Hall/Heritage Town Center at 201 2nd Ave. SW, Buffalo Center. This forum sponsored by North Iowa Betterment and Winn-Worth Betco.
• 1–2 p.m. at The Mills’ Theater, 216 W. Main St., Lake Mills. This forum sponsored by the Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation and Winn-Worth Betco.
• 3:30–4:30 p.m. in the Waldorf Ballroom, Salveson Hall, Waldorf College, 106 S. 6th St., Forest City. This forum sponsored by Forest City Economic Development, Forest City Chamber Of Commerce, Hancock County Economic Development, and Winn-Worth Betco.
Locations and times for March have yet to be announced.
Worth County residents will have the ability to discuss issues with Representative Jane Bloomingdale, Northwood; and Senator Waylon Brown, St. Ansgar, Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8 a.m. and Saturday, March 25, at 8 a.m. in Northwood. These forums will be held at the Northwood Civic Center, 627 Central Ave..
Representative Bloomingdale sits on the Commerce, Economic Growth, and Local Government Committees. She is Vice-Chair of the Ways and Means Committee. She also sits on the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee.
Senator Brown is Vice-Chair of the Agriculture Committee and also sits on the Labor & Business Relations, Natural Resources and Environment, State Government, and Ways and Means Committees.
