“A Universe of Stories” at the Lake Mills Public Library
by Steph Stevens, Director
Lake Mills Public Library
Summer is here, so you’ll catch me reading in my hammock or chasing my toddler around the park, but it also means the library’s Summer Reading Program has started. This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories” and we have an out-of-this-world line up—from reptiles to fire breathing to magic; plus cake decorating. We have it all this summer and everyone is encouraged to join in on the fun.
On top of all that, we have made it easier than ever to participate and win prizes for all ages; simply by signing up anytime from June 3-July 25; children and teens will go home with a free book. Additionally, we have taken away prize limits for all age groups, introduced bookmarks to track minutes read, and will be launching scratch tickets for young adults to win prizes for visiting the library. Make sure to stop in and check out a program or two or 10 and get to reading this summer to win a universe of prizes.
All events are located at the library and open to the public, with no registration required, unless noted. The best part is all of the activities are completely FREE, due to our generous sponsors. Below is a full list of activities for all ages.
