Horse Pasture Walk, Aug. 20
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is proud to present a horse pasture walk program that will be held in Hanlontown (492 365th St.). This program is for horse owners who are interested in improving their pastures. Come to learn about various horse pasture management tools such as evaluating available acres, forage identification, forage supply and grazing management techniques. Please wear appropriate footwear and bug spray.
This program will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 6-7:30 p.m. The program is free of charge. Please RSVP to the Wright (515-532-3453) or Hancock (641-923-2856) County extension office by Monday, Aug. 19.
Directions to the Farm: If coming from Interstate 35, take the Hwy. 9 exit, go west through Hanlontown. Where Hwy. 9 curves to the south, continue straight on 360th St. one-half mile, then follow the pavement north one-half mile. The farm is located on the north side of the road where it curves back to the west as County Road A45.
