Horse and Mule Show, June 16-17
The June show at Farming of Yesteryear, Kiester, Minn., will be held, Saturday, June 16. It will consist of a fun horse and mule show, which allows all ages to participate with some unique competitive games, with ribbons and a guest Judge.
Swapper, Crafter, and Flea Market vendors are welcome to a no-fee Open Yard Sale. Bring your wares and set up for one hour or stay for both days. There will be a food stand on site.
On Sunday, June 17, ride in a horsedrawn carriage to the church for Cowboys for Christ. The program begins at 9 a.m., but you need to arrive early to get a ride, this also provides a good photo opportunity.
Following the church service, there will be an exhibition of the horse and mule show with special awards given to the youngest participant, the oldest participant, and the participant coming the longest distance.
There will be a horse and mule parade at 12:15 p.m. and a horse pull at 1 p.m.
A special race, the Feed Team Race competition will be set up. You will want to see the unusual, fancy, horse, mule, and pony demonstrations and driving skills.
No admission is charged for Horse and Mule event.
