Heritage Park to hold Holiday Tour of Lights
Holiday Tour of Lights is a festive drive-through holiday light show experience for the entire family to enjoy. It will be held weekends, beginning Nov. 22-Dec. 15 from 6-8 p.m., and then every evening, Dec. 16 through Christmas Eve from 6-9 p.m., at Heritage Park of North Iowa, Forest City.
Volunteers set up thousands of lights to display in artistic fun formations and use the existing museum buildings as well to celebrate the holiday season. Some attendees drive a 100 miles to tour the light displays at Heritage Park with over 5,000 visitor touring the lights in 2018. Admission to see the lights is a free-will donation, collected at the entrance by volunteers.
The park is once again partnering with other non-profit local groups to organize this event. The free-will donation will go back into Heritage Park and to other non-profit organizations.
Church service, Dec. 14
Come and join your friends in a delightful evening of old memories and new experiences at a Christmas worship service in a beautiful historic church. The rural Beaver Creek church was built in 1890 near Joice, and now resides at Heritage Park of North Iowa. The annual Christmas service will bring back memories of Christmas’ past and features a soup supper following the service. The soup supper offers two or three different soups, so everyone gets their favorite. (Free will donation.)
The service begins at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, with soup supper to follow after the service.
