Ghoul's Night Out

Spend Friday Evening in Downtown Lake Mills!

The Third Annual Ghouls’ Night Out will be held this Friday, Oct. 19, in downtown Lake Mills, from 4-10 p.m. Main and Mill Streets will be closed to traffic to allow pedestrians to easily travel between businesses.  
Additionally, an open container permit through the City of Lake Mills has been granted to allow customers to carry beer and wine onto the street (in shatterproof containers) for consumption between 4-10 p.m. Liquor must stay within the purchasing premises.
Vendors and in-home businesses will be set up on Main and Mill Streets, weather permitting, and participating retail and service businesses will be open late. A stamp card drawing contest will be held, encouraging shoppers to collect stamps at nine different locations until 10 p.m.
“If shoppers collect three stamps, they are entered into the drawing once; six stamps will get them two entries; and all nine stamps will get them entered three times,” said Cassie Johnson, LMCDC Executive Director. “To promote spending, we are offering one additional entry for spending $15 at any downtown business.”
The winner of the stamp card prize drawing will be drawn at 8:30 p.m. at the July Jubilee vendor booth. The prize is a gift basket made up of items donated by local businesses.
“We have had really impressive prize baskets the last two years,” said Johnson.  “I am excited to see what the businesses come up with this year.”
Shoppers can pick up a stamp card at Lake Mills Physical Therapy, Uptown Fitness, The Trio Boutique, Pit Stop Printing, July Jubilee booth (vendor area), Salon 304 & Bestie Boutique, Teluwut, 5 Alarm Brewing Co., and LaLa’s Attic.
“We encourage shoppers to check out ALL downtown businesses participating, including our local restaurants, bars, retailers and other businesses,” said Johnson. “There are so many more beyond the nine on our stamp card, so spend some time downtown and continue to show your support to local places.”

After 10 p.m., customers are encouraged to continue the fun, however, alcohol will not be allowed to be carried onto the streets, and clean-up will commence. Main and Mill Streets will be reopened to traffic by midnight.
