Harvest is underway

Despite summer-like temperatures over the weekend, that saw the mercury push into the 90 degree range, area farmers took advantage of more seasonal conditions in their fields as the soybean harvest started in earnest in the northern Iowa and southern Minnesota area last week. The extended forecast calls for more fall-like temperatures settling in this week, with plenty of sunshine and dry weather that shouuld allow harvest to continue unimpeded for the foreseeable future.
