Fall Fest in Albert Lea
Fall is a time of gathering around a table, and gather we are, ON BROADWAY, Saturday, Sept. 28 from 5 p.m. until midnight. We’re gathering our community and celebrating what it means to LIVE UNITED.
• The 112 on Broadway will be featuring fall beers, a beer wagon, live music by Anders and the Incident from 6-8 p.m., and a street dance featuring Drivestation from 9 p.m. to midnight.
• The entire community is encouraged to Dine United at the Fall Fest from 5-8 p.m. It’s a community picnic. Guests can bring their own meal or purchase food at the event. A portion of the proceeds from food sales of all vendors will go to the United Way of Freeborn County.
• There will also be fun for the entire family from 5-8 p.m. Riverland D.E.E.D.S. Program and The Parenting Resource Center of Freeborn and Mower County will be hosting kids activities. The Albert Lea Art Center is offering their windows as a place for kiddos to paint pictures of community. There will be sno-cones for sale and The Outlet will be hosting a Virtual Reality Experience where people can sign up to experience walking from tightrope between skyscrapers or playing games in a virtual world.
• Later, the event will switch to a street dance. Drivestation will be performing on stage outside the 112 on Broadway from 9 p.m.-midnight. There will be yard games and a Beer Mile Race. Race for a cause (portion of the proceeds will be going to the United Way) and a chance to win. And don’t forget bragging rights . . . four beers in four laps.
