Enjoy a “Ladies” weekend in Forest City, Nov. 2-3

Date:
Friday, November 2, 2018 - 8:00am

Ladies Night Out will be held in Forest City on Friday, Nov. 2, where several downtown businesses will remain open until 8 p.m.
“Nine businesses have gotten together to make the night even better with a punch card promotion.” said Michelle Schluter, owner of Body and Skin Rejuvenation. Cards can be obtained from any of the nine businesses and the card must be punched at every location on Ladies Night Out for a chance to win a prize worth over $200. “It’s a great way to get started or to get ideas for the holiday shopping season, whether you’re shopping for yourself or just wanting to enjoy a night out on the town with the girls,” Michelle continued. The cards need to be filled out and dropped off at any of the participating locations.
Body and Skin Rejuvenation, located at 146 N. Clark Street, will be open from 5-8 p.m. The boutique provides massage, skincare, waxing and make-up in a relaxing, feel good and fun atmosphere, as well as professional skin and hair care products, organic makeup, fashion accessories and more. Paulette Legred, CEO and Founder Lis’n Premium Professional Hair Care will be at her shop to talk about this new product line that is now available at the boutique. Questions are welcome. Also, Trainwreck Winery will be available for wine tasting. Be sure to sign up for the in-store door prize.
Salon Infinity, located at 136 Highway 69 N., encourages ladies to come and enter her Selfie Photo contest. Wine tasting will be available that evening as well. Make your hair care appointments for the holiday season.
Scoopy Doos, located at 105 N. Clark Street, will be offering a gift card special, both Friday evening and Saturday. Enjoy food, ice cream, and a great time with family and friends.
Quilted Forest, located at 205 N. Clark Street will be open until 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Be sure to stop in and see their many new fabrics.
Chipped Inscriptions, Jesse’s Closet, and The Homestead Wanderer, are located at 236 Hwy. 69 N.  Join them for an evening of discounted shopping and painting, with complimentary refreshments in their cozy cabin. This is a locally-owned shop, complete with boutique clothing, home decor, as well as DIY sign painting. Classes are available or parties can be arranged to be done at your home or in the shop.
The Paddler’s Tap will be open Friday and Saturday for Ladies Night and Ladies Day Out. Trainwreck Winery will be passing out samples from 5-8 p.m., Friday. The Tap will also have beer and cider samples, door prizes, and gift certificates available both days.

The Annual Forest City Ladies Day Out Home-Based Business and Craft Expo will be held at two locations again this year—the Civic Auditorium, 146 W. L St., and the Forest City Senior Center, 125 N. 7th St.
“We have always appreciated all the shoppers who come to our annual Ladies Day event. It has always been a nice event with a lot of women coming to shop for Christmas gifts or just to have a fun day out,” commented Kathy Rollefson, Forest City Chamber Executive director.
There will be many homemade items, baked goods, and craft items for sale. Many of the downtown retailers will have special sales and door prizes, with refreshments, along with home-based businesses.
Mark your calendars and plan to take the short drive to Forest City for a fun time with the girls.
